Programs Awarding a
Baccalaureate and/or Master's Degree
Preface
This roster of first professional baccalaureate, Direct-Entry masters’ degree programs and BSRT Completion programs was prepared by the Coalition for Baccalaureate and Graduate Respiratory Therapy Education (CoBGRTE) to assist students in selecting a respiratory therapist program. The roster also serves as a communication tool for existing and developing baccalaureate and graduate degree respiratory therapist programs. The reader is encouraged to visit program web sites and to contact each program directly for more information. New or existing programs not included on the roster should use the "Contact Us" page to request a listing. Suggestions to improve the roster are welcome.
Baccalaureate and Graduate First-Professional Degree
Programs in Respiratory Therapy
A First-Professional Degree Program is an educational program designed to provide students who possess no prior competence in respiratory care, with the knowledge and clinical skills required to function competently as a registered respiratory therapist. Conferral of the first-professional degree entails completion of the academic prerequisites to become a registry-eligible respiratory therapist. Baccalaureate programs that also offer a CoARC accredited polysomnography program option are so indicated under program type. Colleges/universities that award a first-professional masters’ degree and/or an ASRT to BSRT Completion program or that are offered online are so designated under program type.
